INTRODUCTION
In the context of globalization of trade, the Republic of Benin, as an emerging country in the West African sub-region, has been being engaged in the effort of cultural policies and in many strategies. Our country is widely opened to the technological influences, namely in communication areas: social networks, internet. In terms of education, the English language has been selected as a national language to be taught from the primary school. What are the motivations of the government of Benin to make this choice of English language? We conducted a very careful survey among cultural holders and school education officials. The result of the research shows the major interest for Benin to prioritize the English language. But what is missing from this program is to take in account, all schools and all Benin peoples. It lacks also to this program an ideal framework of practice that could be helpful for all Beninese to learn English successfully.
The goal of the project “English is my language” is namely to cope with the stereotype “English is my black beast”. To let know all Beninese that they can easily speak English. Many methodologies are used to approach our vision, as physical interactive methodology, internet interactive methodology, and many other active methodologies. The project will last for seven years to unable every member of Benin communities to speak English to the horizon 2020.
